Our Journey: A Golden Legacy in the Making

It all began in 1964 when a humble banker from a family of goldsmiths in Kumbakonam took a leap of faith and opened a small shop in T Nagar, Chennai. Over the past 60 years, we've transformed that modest beginning into something truly extraordinary. Under the visionary leadership of our Chairman, Mr G Rajendran, and his sons, Mr G R Ananthapadnabhan and Mr G R Radhakrishnan, we've grown into one of South India’s most trusted jewellery brands. We’re proud of our journey and how we’ve kept the sparkle alive across generations.
 

The GRT Hotels & Resorts Story: Our Passion, Your Luxury

In 1998, we decided to bring our passion for excellence to the world of hospitality. Our goal was simple: to give Chennai a hotel that offered “5-star facilities at 3-star prices”. And we did just that with the opening of our first GRT Hotel. We made a splash with Chennai’s first 100-foot atrium, added some wow factor with glass capsule lifts, and topped it all off with an indoor swimming pool. The response? Instant success! This fueled our growth into 22 hotels and resorts, all while staying true to our core promise: “Promise of More”. Even after 25 years, we still believe in delivering more of what you love.
