A Step In The Right Direction

Hello from GReaT trails!

While we have suspended operations at our resorts in keeping with the directive from the Government of Tamil Nadu, we are using this time to actively explore and implement new processes that will enhance the safety measures that are already in place at all our locations.

As the situation around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve rapidly and social distancing has become the new normal, we want to reassure our guests that their health and wellbeing is our topmost priority, now and always!

Once the lockdown restrictions have eased, we look forward to welcoming you to our brand new restaurant at GReaT trails Kodaikanal, Whistler’s Café! Given the uncertainty around travel and dining out, we would like to share all the ways in which we are ensuring the safety of our diners as well as our staff.

Our aesthetically designed dining areas will now have fewer tables to ensure all social distancing protocols are maintained. We are sure our diners will enjoy the additional free space as well! We have also increased the frequency of sanitizing both the dining area as well as the kitchen. Hand sanitizers have been placed at strategic locations throughout the restaurant including the reception, washrooms and patio. We always ensure that all cutlery and serving dishes are thoroughly sanitized before every service.

We have and will always continue to champion fresh, locally grown produce. All vegetables, meat and other produce sourced from our trusted local vendors are cleaned thoroughly before being safely stored as per FSSAI norms.

Our staff are constantly being educated and updated on the additional procedures to be followed with regards to cleanliness and social distancing in order to ensure all our meals are prepared and served hygienically. High touch areas in the kitchen as well as the dining room are regularly disinfected, and all our staff have been instructed to wear gloves whenever possible.

In order to make it easier for our guests to follow social distancing, we have decided to remove buffet meals in favour of a la carte dining. Our master chefs have spent all summer working on creating an exciting new menu just for you! We have expanded our repertoire of dishes so there is something delicious for everyone at every meal. We have introduced new delicacies across cuisines, all the while keeping old favourites. We have also replaced our existing menu cards with digital menus, which will make ordering an absolute breeze!

We are excited to announce that our guests can now pay for their meals using a number of contactless online payment options including GPay, PayZapp, Phone Pe, Paytm, etc. in lieu of cash or card payments.

We believe in complete honesty and transparency when it comes to our guests, and you can rest assured that you will receive the same service and attention to detail that travellers the world over have come to expect from our resorts.
