April of 2018 was definitely one to remember for all our guests at Radisson Blu Hotel, GRT Chennai. Long summer days sound perfect when you read about them, but out here in the real world, the scorching heat can send you in a tizzy. We made sure we brought the temperature down with our Amazing April promotion. Read on for the details.

Setting the summertime spirit

A spectacular floral arrangement greeted all our guests the minute they stepped into the lobby. But it wasn’t just a treat for the eyes. The scent of citron wafted through the hotel and added to the experience. The air was filled with sound of summer, as guests listened to a specially curated playlist of summertime music. Our friendly receptionist offered every guest who walked in through our doors a refreshing Digital Detox cold towel and a glass of chilled buttermilk to beat the heat.

We organised some fun, indoor games to entertain our guests. All they had to do was a pick a partner from our staff, and play one of the many games set up at Salt.Co. 531. Foosball, Snakes & Ladders, and Marbles were some of the games that one could enjoy. As evidenced by these pictures, the games were a big hit!

Trip to Funky Town

Nowhere was the summertime spirit stronger than at our restaurant Salt.Co.531. Guests were pleasantly surprised to receive a cold towel that seemed to magically rejuvenate them. While devouring the delicious buffet prepared by our Chef and team, guests were in for another fun surprise! Our staff, dressed in brightly-coloured floral shirts, wearing cool shades, and carrying umbrellas, danced their way to Funky Town much to the delight of all those who were present.

What’s a summer day without a cold drink in your hand? Amazing April had amazing summer offers too. A Jumbo Iced Tea in seven delicious flavours – Paan, Watermelon, Honeydew Melon, Green Apple, Saffron, Mango, and Strawberry – was priced at only Rs. 199. Summer is also the perfect season for a chilled beer and we had a fantastic offer of buy 2 draught beers get 1 free that all the beer drinkers raised a toast to.

Bodhi Spa also got in on the summer specials, and offered a whopping 25% discount on three new therapies between 9 AM to 5 PM.

Grab some ZZZZZs in style

A day filled with fun, activities, wonderful food and drinks, and other adventures, is enough to tire even the most energetic souls. Back at the rooms, we had a few more surprises planned. A mug of hot chocolate to curl up with. Pillows that had been sprayed with lavender for deep, restful sleep. And, cheeky door hangers to ensure uninterrupted sound sleep.

To cap off our Amazing April celebrations, all our guests who celebrated their birthdays in April received a small gift from us to cap off our Amazing April celebrations.
